You should try La Jolla Caves. You can swim or Kayak into the many caves along the shore line or pay a couple dollars and get a tour from the La Jolla Cave store. http://www.cavestore.com/ Bring a mask and flippers and you will see all sorts of fish and marine life. Last time we went out we found a cave with a tiny entrance that lead to a huge cavern with a beach. Well worth the swim.
