Monserate Mountain

The trail has something for everyone. You can make it moderate to difficult depending on your skill level. If you go the trail route, its only 3.8 miles, however, if you get to the paved road and make it a loop, its 4.52 and more difficult since it goes down and up again with a steep incline and behind the water tower. The view from the highest point is absolutely beautiful on a clear and you can see the ocean on the west side and Rice Canyon to the east. During the summer months, be careful of rattle snakes.

An Aussie transplant living in San Diego. I've chosen to live in this fair city for the past seven years because I truly believe it's one of the best in the world; there's no better city to enjoy sunshine and the outdoors.
