Enjoy a half-day of hiking on private property as guests of the San
Dieguito River Valley Conservancy. This rare location offers hikers a
challenging opportunity to explore a pristine canyon not open to the
public. The excursion will be lead by a riparian biologist, who will be highlighting
the unique flora and fauna along the way. Some bouldering
will be required as hikers traverse the rocky terrain and hidden pools
around the canyon.
The hike will be on Saturday, May 23rd, from 9 a.m.- 2 p.m. (1 hr for
lunch). Hikers can bring their own lunch, or for a nominal fee purchase a bag lunch from the Conservancy. To sign-up and for more information, please visit the
Conservancy’s website at
www.sdrvc.org and see the News & Events
Announcements page, or contact the Conservancy at (858) 755-6956 or
sdrvc@sdrvc.org.
To Participate:
- $40 for non-members
- $35 for those who become SDRVC members (the hike is a benefit of new
membership)
- $25 for existing SDRVC members
*Note: Proceeds from the hike are used by the San Dieguito River
Valley Conservancy to purchase land for the San Dieguito River Park,
extend trails with a priority given to the 55-mile Coast-to-Crest
Trail, and for the stewardship of the natural and cultural resources
in the San Dieguito river corridor.
